Color Study- Copperhead

by Janice Parsons

Copper has to be my lucky color. I decided to name this 5 wrap bracelet after a chance encounter with a Copperhead Snake I had on the Rogue River in Oregon. I was napping in my sleeping bag after lunch when I felt something very heavy move across my chest. I didn’t breathe or blink but slowly opened one eye to see this fierce, out-of-this-world snake slither away over me…I stayed perfectly still and to this day, I consider myself very lucky when I wear copper. And by pairing it with blue, it is a constant reminder of how lucky I was that day. Please visit our Skill Builders section to brush up on macramé and laddering.
