Free Tip Friday Kate's Take on the Goddess Bracelet

Free Tip Friday was a fun one today... So many of you have asked about The Goddess Bracelet design that has been kicking around the internet, so I thought it would be a fun one to tackle on FTF.

The materials are really simple and it works with a variety of beads and jump rings. Find all the ingredients on our website, or do a little stash diving in your collection.

The ingredients used: 

• 6mm Czech Glass Melons. I used Lavender Gold Luster and Sapphire and Bronze in the sample color palettes.
• Plain and Simple Toggle Clasp. I used Gold and Silver in the sample palettes.
• 6mm Jump Rings. I used Satin Gold and Antique Silver in the sample palettes.
• .014 Soft Flex
• Crimp Tubes
• Wire Guards
• Crimp Covers

Here is the materials list for the second color way for Kate's Deco Wrap. We are calling this new color palette... The Moderne Wrap.

Free Tip Friday. More inspiration with Brick Stitch Hearts!

Hi All!
We had so much fun on FB LIVE on Wednesday with Emily's Heart on my Sleeve project that I just had to continue with it on Free Tip Friday this week.

This project comes in two Kits!

For my version I used the following materials:

• 8-4511- Picasso Smokey Black Matte 8/0
• 8-4517- Picasso Brown Tan Matte 8/0
• Aged Travertine Stripe- Brick
• 11-4222 Duracoat Galvanized Pewter
• Size 10 Seed Bead Needles
• KO Smoke Green
• Bees Wax

I also discussed our new buttons

• Froggie

And our Hematite Cut Cube beads.

As well as showing how to add our Czech Drops.

Free Tip Friday: Let's make some Wire Earrings!

Hey Gang!

On Free Tip Friday today we had a bunch of fun creating a mixed media earring with Wire and Irish Waxed Linen.

My inspiration came from member Tracey Watsen, in our Facebook Group, Beadshop Community: The Bead Table. (If you'd like to join, click here and answer three questions.) Thanks so much Tracey for your inspiration and talent. I have added the photo of her creations below.

Here are the materials I used for my version of the earring:

 Tribal Heishi in Copper, Little Shadows in Brass and Picasso Montana Matte 8/0 seed beads.

Gold Tone Wire in 18G & 20G.

Bronze Dot Ear Wire and Irish Waxed Linen in Chocolate.

Tools include, Bench Block, Nylon Jaw Pliers, Round Nose, Chain Nose, Chasing Hammer and Flush Wire Cutters.

One thing I wanted to note when I was making the second pair,  in the first step of wrapping the beads with the waxed linen, I went back through the beads to secure them so they are not loose. Kind of like securing your first stitches in a ladder bracelet. Take a look at the following photo to check out what I mean.

Free Tip Friday: Braided and Knotted Bracelets with Leather Cord

Hey Gang! Thanks so much for joining me on Free Tip Friday. Weren't the leather bracelets a fun project?

You can use any diameter leather, 1mm, 1.5mm and 2mm. Just tailor the leather to the scale of the bracelet you prefer.

You can silk wrap the ends closed or use crimps like our Transitions. Follow the directions in the video to make a Button Knot Closure, or add a button on the end to close.

I also used Zap Glue and our glue on clasps like Cool Luke or Tall and Handsome.

The Fitzgerald Necklace in Black

Hi everybody! December 20, 2017 was all about New Year's Eve on Facebook Live and looking back to the Roaring 20's... the time of F. Scott Fitzgerald and elongated, romantic fashion lines, including draped, beaded jewelry. On FB Live Kate and Emily introduced us to the classic, all-white palette.

Then they surprised us with a separate palette for The Gatsby Necklace done in all blacks! 

We're calling the all-black, The Fitzgerald Necklace. You can do this in really any palette. Go to our Color Collection and create your own decadent design!
